ALBERT CAROCCIO (GU18 & GU12)
 COACH  ALBERT

Coaching Experience: For the past 2 years as head coach for J.P. Taravella

High School, I have posted a 28-10-2 record. Prior to being the head coach at

J.P. Taravella, I volunteered and assisted for 2 years. I have also served as head

coach for the Coral Springs Storm Soccer Club for the past two years, coaching

the U18 and U11 girl soccer teams. While coaching for the U18 Storm, I have

posted a 11-4-3 record in two seasons at Division 1, and have enjoyed watching

my players move onto play soccer in college. I look forward to developing the

younger age group, U11 Girls, as we just finished our first successful season

together going 6-5-1 while becoming the 2009 Wellington Champions and the

runner up for the 2009 Plantation Thanksgiving Tournament.

Playing Experience: As a player, I played travel soccer at a young age for the

City of Sunrise and Plantation, where I met Thomas Rongan (current Head

Coach for the Boys US National Team, previously head coach for DC United) and

played for Richard Williams (assistant and trainer to Thomas while at DC United)

as coaches. The hard work and training, as well as my individual efforts, I

endured during the sessions/camps of Richard Williams Soccer Sense, granted

me the opportunity to be selected for ODP (Olympic Development Program).

During my high school years, I was fortunate to play for St. Thomas Aquinas High

School, winning the 1996 state championship, while being runner up the previous

year. I chose after high school not to play soccer in college, but rather focus on

my career in Architecture. I possess great networking skills and manage to hold

many college contacts for many players to push through college and earn their

degrees in their desired fields of study.

Education: Graduate from Florida Atlantic University, I earned a BA in

Architecture and I am currently studying for my exams to become a registered

and licensed Architect. I am also a member of the NSCAA and hold a USSF "D"

Coaching License; and, I will be taking the USSF "C" license course during the

summer to upgrade my current license.
