KATHY FITZGERALD
COACH KATHY
Coach Kathy has been coaching with the STORM for the past 3 years and as always, we look forward to her experience and knowledge of the game to help develop our younger players. Kathy originally began her playing career with Coral Springs Renegades at U12 and later went on to play on three State Championship teams as well as two State Championship High School teams at Coconut Creek High School from 1982-1986. She was also selected to the Florida ODP team three times. Kathy later went on to play at Div. 1 Florida International University.
Kathy began her coaching career as a Margate Youth Soccer coach as well as the Head Coach for Margate Middle School from 1991 - 1993. She then went on to coach at Piper High School in 1994 & 1995. From 1995 - 1998 she was the Head Coach at Coconut Creek High School as well as being an Asst. Coach at Nova Southeastern University. Most recently Coach Kathy has put her efforts into coaching again at the youth level specifically for the U9 - U10 age groups. Coach Kathy holds an NSCAA State Coaching License and an NSCAA Youth National diploma.
Kathy is a National Board Certified Teacher. Graduate from Florida International University with a Master of Science Degree in Reading Education and has been teaching Elementary School for the past 18 years.
